In this case, your application must include an official transcript of records covering all studies completed by the application deadline. Courses or grades completed after the application deadline cannot be taken into account in the selection process.
Documents in English and certified copies
Educational documents and English-language certificates must be provided in English and in certified form, in accordance with the programme requirements.
For documents issued in another language, candidates should prepare:
- a certified copy of the original document, and
- a certified English translation.
This applies in particular to the degree diploma, diploma supplement and documents certifying English proficiency.
All uploaded files should be clear, complete, legible, high-quality colour scans in PDF format.
Original documents must be presented upon arrival at the relevant partner university.
Demonstrating your academic background
As part of the application, you will also be asked to demonstrate that your previous studies provide an appropriate foundation for the BIOVERTE curriculum. You may therefore need to indicate relevant courses from your previous studies and provide information such as:
- course title;
- course content or description;
- number of teaching hours/credits;
- corresponding entry in your academic transcript.
Relevant areas include biology and biotechnology, ecology, environmental sciences, geography and Earth sciences, agriculture and forestry, marine and aquatic sciences, natural resource management, environmental economics and policy, chemistry and physics.
Selection process
Applications are first checked for formal eligibility and completeness. Eligible applications are then assessed academically. The evaluation considers, among other factors, the relevance of previous studies, academic performance, research or professional experience, motivation and references.
Shortlisted candidates may be invited to an online interview in English. The interview includes a short presentation by the candidate followed by questions and discussion.
Final ranking:
- 70% – written application
- 30% – oral interview
Candidates should therefore ensure that all documents are complete, accurate, readable and submitted in English before the application deadline.
